It is commonly known as south Indian Treebine
.it is found in South India and Sri Lanka. It is the one of the important plant used in the treatment of healing wounds,
swelling, and sprains. It is extremely valuable plant. The various parts of Cissus vitiginea including leaves, fruits, flowers,
roots and bark having different pharmacological activities like antimicrobial, Anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anticancer etc.
due to the presence of many phytochemical constituents. Due to renewed interest in the plant derived products, we aim at
the phytochemical studies on Cissus vitiginea parts and itâ€™s evaluation as a anti -inflammatory drug. The anti inflammatory
studies also showed good activity in higher concentration. The IC50 of stem ethanolic extract in protein denaturation test was
found to be 122.89Âµg/ml and the IC50 of leaf ethanolic extract was found to be 233.383Âµg/ml, the IC50 of stem ethanolic
extract in protienase inhibition test was found to be 53.7085 Âµg/ml and the leaf ethanolic extract was found to be
267.84Âµg/ml. From the results, it is concluded that flavonoids present in the Cissus vitiginea extract may be responsible for
