A new series of halogen substituted flavones (a-p) were tested for their in vitro antibacterial activity against four different pathogenic bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Corynebacterium sp and Xanthomonas malvacerum using Streptomycin as standard drug. The results reflect promising moderate to good activity at different dilutions against different strains of bacteria employed.
