There is an ongoing effort to adapt, develop, update and implement minimally invasive approaches in the field of diagnosis and treatment of animals just like their use in human medicine. Among the numerous biomaterial gadgets of therapeutics in-use in recent years, stenting (tubing) has shown prominent and promising results in research and clinics especially in the field of hollow organs and vascular stents. Knowledge of catheter guided therapy such as stenting through biomedical models will help to evaluate new materials and techniques. This imparts impetus among minimally invasive techniques in clinics. The current review comprises the overall usage of stent on animals in research laboratory and clinics
