Fluoride is an inorganic anion of fluorine with the chemical formula F− contributing no color to fluoride salts. Fluoride being the main component of fluorite, contributes a bitter taste but no odor to fluoride salts. This article focuses on the use, properties, adverse effects etc associated with fluoride and the possible ways by which fluoride can be used commercially without any harmful effects.
