The plant of Marrubium vulgare is belonging to family Laminaceae; and is as an herbaceous perennial plant with green-gray branch and leaf, covered with white lint and has white and little flowers and is seen in the most regions of our country. As it is used in medical and pharmaceutical industries and traditional medicine as well, so it seems necessary to identify its components. In this study, the aerial parts of this plant at the time of full bloom were examined. The samples were gathered from three climatic zones in Fars province and then water distillation method, was used to extract essential oil them. The components of this essential oil were identified by gas chromatography of mass spectrograph (GC/MS). According to the obtained results, in three sites 20, 17 and 12 compounds were identified from Mamassani, Shiraz and Firooz-Abad respectively the most important common compounds include: E-Caryphyllene ØŒGermacren D and Bicyclogermacrene. Germacrene D was as the most important compound that had the highest amount in all three sites. while in first site Thymol (18.80%), and in second site Carvacrol (15.90%) and in third site 1-Octen-3-ol and Geljerene were as the most important compounds that reported here for the first time. It could be because of climate, soil and physiographic, soil and physiographic of the zone.
